After a resounding 7 goals to 1 win against the Belfast Giants last night, we travelled to the Spectrum tonight to take on the Guildford Flames in another Elite League encounter.
Good and bad news on the team news front as it was confirmed that Martin Latal and Brendan Connolly had returned to action but Matias Sointu didn’t make the trip.
After his stellar performances in the previous two matches, it was time for Barry to take a rest and therefore Rok Stojanovic took his place between the pipes.

It was an extremely tight affair throughout regulation as neither team were able to break the deadlock with the three periods only bringing about penalties. Both netminders looked especially solid as they were a match at both ends for any chances which came their way.
It wasn’t therefore until overtime when the deadlock was broken and the Steelers took the spoils as Daine Todd wrapped around the Guildford net and snuck the puck under Lindskoug’s pads.
