Thank you for coming home on Sunday
Over 8,500 fans turned out to welcome the Steelers back home on Sunday
They came to to pay their respects to Adam Johnson, pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday but also to cheer on the players, coaches and team staff as they took to the arena ice for the first time since the tragic beets of the 28th October.
Of course there was tears, but there were also smiles as we came back home, to our special and safe place. The Sheffield (Utilita) Arena.
The players did their job on the ice, a 2-1 overtime win with the captain, Robert Dowd scoring the winner
Post game the players paid their own tribute to the fans, a team “Eddy” as all 20 guys saluted the fans, thanking them for the unbelievable support
Sunday was a night when the family came together, on and off the ice as one
