Brandon Whistle’s rise through the Steelers ranks has been astonishing since his arrival in 2018, time away playing in the NIHL with Telford Tigers and Leeds Knights led to a return it the Steelers in 2021

In 22-23 Brandon played in all forward positions and was an integral part of that year’s team scoring 8 goals and 15 points in 45 games. It was form that led the 6’1 centre to be called up to the men’s senior GB side ahead of the World Championships.

Head coach Aaron Fox expects another year of progress as Whistle cements a long term future with the club “Brandon is an exciting player who gets better every day, we have seen progress throughout his time here and only expect this to continue as he is given more ice time and responsibility this coming season

Whistle is the son of former Steelers coach Dave Whistle and whilst born in Kelowna, British Columbia, was raised in the UK during his Fathers time as a player and coach in the UK. His brother Jackson plays for the Belfast Giants.
