So, with the signing of Aaron Brocklehurst the Sheffield Steelers seem to have completed their blue line for the new season.
Aaron Fox has made three significant signings to complement the three remaining D men the club retained.
Ben O’Connor, Aaron Johnson and Davey Phillips all have stayed with Phillips signing a new deal this summer.
Remember also that the club has promising youngster Jordan Griffin on the books as he enters the second year of his apprenticeship.
Mark Matheson, Josh McFadden and Ryan Martinelli all left the club this summer with Matheson joining the Nottingham Panthers as player assistant coach. McFadden moved to EV Landshut in the German DEL2. Martinelli’s future is still to be confirmed.
The new additions started earlier this summer with the arrival of experienced Swedish D man Jonas Liwing.
Earlier this week the club confirmed that James Bettauer had joined the club after 6 years in the DEL.
Now we complete the blueline with the signature of Brocklehurst as he joins from Austrian side Linz.
