Steelers forward Liam Kirk became the clubs youngest goal scorer when he found the back of the net against Coventry Blaze on 29thOctober 2016.
Kirk was 16 years, 9 months and 26 days old when he created Steelers history with that strike.
Kieran Brown became the clubs all time youngest player when he dressed against Dundee Stars on the 19th October 2017 thus meaning he has until 17th December this year to take Kirk’s record of becoming the Steelers youngest goal scorer.
Steelers head coach Paul Thompson played Brown in Wednesday’s 8-2 victory against Dundee Stars and confirmed today that he would remain with the team for this Saturday’s game against Manchester Storm rather than return to Blackburn Hawkes (his farm side).
Brown already has 2 assists in the 8 games he has dressed for the club this season.
Can Brown create Steelers history on Saturday, if not before 17th December.
