Defeat for the Steelers in Fife

Back to back defeats this weekend for the Steelers.

Following last nights home loss to Glasgow the Steelers travelled to Fife on Sunday but despite taking a 1-0 lead came away with a 4-1 defeat.

After failing to score on the power-play on Saturday the Steelers struck with their first one man advantage of the game when Josh Pitt deflected home a blast from the point.

It was a lead the Steelers held until the 27th minute when Basaraba equalised.

Steelers failed to clear their zone in the 36th minute and the Flyers pounced with Bloodoff ending a tick tack toe move for a 2-1 score line.

Chances came the Steelers way in the 3rd period but if was the home team that extended their lead , as a powerplay expired Basaraba fired Fife’s 3rd goal past Jackson Whistle.

A 4th goal came in the final minute with Jackson pulled to the bench for the extra attacker.

Final score: Fife Flyers 4-1 Steelers.
