In addition to those players already signed and announced, head coach Aaron Fox today confirmed that Robert Dowd, Sam Jones and Brandon Whistle would be playing in Orange next season as they were previously under contract with the club.

“I’m sure the signings and announcements will start to come thick and fast now” said Fox “We will have another name for you in the week I’m sure”
The new season will be Robert Dowds 13th full season as a Steelers, in which time he has become the clubs all time leading (EIHL) goal scorer.
Sam Jones joined The Steelers ahead of the Elite Series in 2020 and has since gone on to play over 100 games for the club over the past two full seasons.
After playing for The Steelers in 2017-18, Brandon returned to the club three years later on a two way contract with Leeds and last year on a full time contract.
“All three players are hugely important to us” reiterated Fox “We are are excited having them at the core of our club and expect big things from all three this coming year ahead”
