First Career HT for Westy and the Yorkshire Cap

Jonas Westerling celebrated his first ever career HT on Saturday night, and he won the Yorkshire Cap as well.

Westerling’s scored a straight hat trick between 20.16 and 35.20 to put the Steelers 3-0 ahead and on their way to 2 valuable EIHL points.

“Westy is such a good player for us” said captain Jonathan Phillips “the whole team are so pleased for him

“This was always going to be a difficult night here in front of another sold out crowd. We reacted well as a team but we needed a hero and Westy was it. He looks good in the Yorkshire Cap. He had a tough start to the day with Leeds United being beaten but it ended well for him”

Phillips also made mention of Steelers goalie Ervins Mustukovs “Moose was outstanding as well tonight, on any other night it would have been his night. He never looked getting beat this evening and was rock solid. His shut out record is amazing”
