Former Steeler Danny Meyers Retires.

The Sheffield Steelers wish to pass on their good wishes to Danny Meyers who we understand has confirmed his retirement from the sport.

Danny played two years with the Steelers between 2012-2014 after joining the club from Nottingham Panthers and was a member of our play-off championship side.

Danny Meyers played 124 games for the Steelers scoring 15 goals and 33 points (58 PIM’s)

Captain Jonathan Phillips said “Danny was a good team-mate and we all wish him well”

“Coming into a Sheffield dressing room after he had captained the Panthers for so long must have been a tough thing to do”

“He was however as a committed Steeler as you could have wished for. I’m sure everyone here wishes him all the best”
