Head coach Aaron Fox returns to Sheffield this weekend after a visit to the United States.
Fox says he is very happy with team progression ahead of the new season and expects more signings to be confirmed shortly.
“We are doing good business both in the retention of those from last years squad and also bringing some new faces into the team
“Whilst we were disappointed with Marco’s decision to leave it is one we respect, in fact we can use it as a tool in our recruitment, do well here in Sheffield and it can springboard you on to different leagues and teams”
To date The Steelers have confirmed the following signings.
Both goalies are on two way deals with Hull Seahawks of the NIHL.
Fox continued “I think most fans understand that we have a few more players signed and their names will become public knowledge shortly
“Its a long process building a team with many factors to be considered. For now fans should focus on enjoying their Bank Holiday weekend as we will have some more news for them when it is over that I am sure they will be happy with”
Steelers play two home exhibition games ahead the start of the EIHL season
Sunday 28th August at the Arena against Nottingham Panthers and Saturday 3rd September Vs. Coventry Blaze.
Steelers commence their league season the following Saturday with a home, league game on Saturday 10th September.
