Jason Hewitt and the Steelers teamed up with Mansfield Town FC and Nottingham Rugby Club at Fountaindale School on Wednesday afternoon.
Steelers sponsors Hall-Fast arranged it all as the three sporting clubs are part of their “North Notts Community Programme”
Hewey joined Jamie McGuire & Sascha Studer (Mansfield Town FC) and Alfie Molloy and Joe Munroe (Nottingham Rugby Club) in helping the kids put up the Christmas Tree and then gave out some presents.
“Days like to today humble you” said the Bull-Dog “The Fountaindale School is an incredible place full of fantastic people both staff and the kids
“As we walked out people are thanking us for coming, it should be the reverse of that. We should be thanking them for letting us come in and be a part of what they are doing”
Steelers commercial manager Mike O’Connor explained “Malcom Hall does an incredible job with his Community Programme. He has fantastic drive not just for Christmas but throughout the whole year. He and Hall-Fast are relentless in their campaign to promote and raise funds for the Fountaindale School. We are always on hand to assist him.
“This year the Teddy Bear toss will take place at our last home game of the regular season – Saturday 21st March – with the Teddy Bears going to Fountaindale as they did last year”
