HK Poprad are coming to Sheffield and we couldn’t be more excited to see them and start our season off.

Poprad will be expecting great things from their new 25-year-old Norwegian import, Jorgen Karterud.
Karterud has played the last three years in the Swedish Allsvenskan with Vasterviks and Karlskrona as well as playing 12 games for Linkoping in the SHL and made the move to HK Poprad this summer.
In all, Karterud has played 36 times for Norway in International and World Championship games scoring 5 goals and 8 points.
With experience in the CHL, Karterud played 10 games in the competition registering 2 goals and 4 points.
Joona Erving will be playing his second year in Poprad this season.
The 24-year-old has liiga experience with JYP who the Steelers played in the CHL a few years ago.
Standing at 5″11, the defenseman registered 4 goals and 12 points last season.
It’s the second time away from home for Joona after spending some of his junior years in Sweden where he managed games in the Allsvenskan for Asploven HC
25-year-old Finn Jesse Pelamo joined HK Poprad for the first time this summer.
Pelamo a centre, hasn’t played outside Finland before after spending his junior career with Tappara and then going on to play in the Mestis for KeuPa HT and LeKi.
