Devils 2-6 Steelers – Huge Road Win for the Boys

Two goals from Tanner Eberle and a man of the match performance handed The Steelers the points in Cardiff on Saturday night.

Martin Latal, John Armstrong, Evan Mosey and Robert Dowd also cored for Aaron Fox’s side with the his huge 2 points.


Steelers had both Evan Mosey and Davey Phillips back in the line up for this one. Aaron Fox decided on Brandon Whistle over Traversa and Feldner for the 19 man roster tonight.

Martin Latal had The Steelers 1-0 up after just 2.07 with Danielsen assisting

It was shortly 2-0 in The Steelers favour when Big John scored a lovely individual finish at just 3.45

Steelers had a great chance to make it 3-0 when Dixon sat out 2 minutes at 13.33 – Cardiff killed despite chances to Eberle and Vallerand.

It was the Vallerand who visited the penalty box at 15.28 for interference the penalty was killed by just 2 seconds later Jake Coughler scored assisted by Devils captain Mark Richardson for 1-2

Keaton Ellerby then was next too the box, for tripping. Steelers killed and saw out the first period leading 2-1

Devils had the better start in the middle period and it was with some relief that The Steelers extended their advantage to 1-3 when Tanner Eberle scored his first of two goals assisted Justin Hodgman at 28.34.

It was the first of four straight for The Steelers.

39.14 Eberle assisted Sointu and Hodgman (1-6)

Cardiff did hit right back scoring their second with just 35 seconds remaining (McNally)
