Manchester on Saturday “A Dog Fight” Says Phillips

Jonathan Phillips is joining his team-mates in two well deserved days off following the tough 4 point weekend against Cardiff and Belfast, however, the Steelers captain says he is expecting an equally tough two games this weekend.

“It will be a dog fight against Manchester for sure” he says “they are playing really well right now taking points every weekend in their own battle for the Play Offs. Finners side have played well against us all year, so if there is one team we know what to expect from its them

“Yes we have had success, but God have we had to work and fight for it. Saturday won’t be any different.

“We have to go into the Manchester game on Saturday, and Coventry on Sunday with the same attitude and focus we did Cardiff and Belfast last weekend.

“No talk on Coventry yet, all the attention is going to be on Manchester, we respect them that much”

Phillips mentioned the come back of James Bettauer, his line mate on Sunday “I thought James played really well against Belfast, it’s so tough jumping back into the line up for a big game when you have been off for so long

“James and I were together and I think we combined well and contributed to the win. Having James and AJ back last weekend was huge, especially as we look like Anthony will be out for a short while.

“It’s back to work on Wednesday, I think it will have done the boys good to stay away from the Arena for a couple of days and put the feet up, there are some bruised bodies out there”
