Aaron Fox joined the Steelers for the start of the 2019-20 season replacing Tom Barrasso.
For the previous six seasons Fox had worked for Medvescak Zagreb in Croatia as Sports Manager and Head Coach
Previously the now 47-year-old American had an excellent and lengthy career as a player in Europe.
Having played and studied at Minnesota State University (NCAA) Fox turned professional in 2000 spending the season in the ECHL with Peoria Rivermen followed by a 72 game year with Richmond Renegades
Europe then beckoned and over the next 11 seasons Aaron played in some of the finest leagues in the continent with time in Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia
When his playing career ended after the 2013 season in Innsbruck Fox joined Zagreb as sports manager and his career in the front office commenced, he also doubled up taking on the coaching duties in 2018 during the sides inclusion in the EBEL
Fox bought Steelers success in his first season in charge, winning the 2020 Challenge Cup against Cardiff Devils. His second season was interrupted with Covid whilst in 2022 and 23 he has increased the teams regular season points tally as he chases league championship success.
