Alfie Martin

Alfie Martin joined the Steelers ahead of the 2022-23 season from the Coventry Blaze as head of Sports Rehab and now works closely aside Aaron Fox, Carter Beston-Will and Mike Mawer in the teams boot room.

Since Graduating from the University of Bolton with BSc Sports Rehabilitation, Alfie has worked across various levels of sports from Grassroots Football, semi-professional Rugby, and Professional Ice Hockey.

Alfie started his career in hockey with MK Lightning during their EIHL season, he then moved to Coventry Blaze IHC and stayed there for 3 years whilst completing his MSc Strength and Conditioning prior to his arrival in Sheffield last year.

In addition to his work with previous clubs, Alfie has also worked with the England Handball team and GB U18’s Women’s Ice Hockey team in their 2022 World Championships, Turkey where they gained a Silver medal.
