Shudra with a Brace Leads the Way
Despite a late push back from Dundee, it was a comfortable victory for the Steelers on the road against the Stars after a 3-0 first period.
Cole Shudra picked up the man of the match award for his 2 goals

Matt Greenfield starts for the Steelers after missing Wednesday’s nights 4-2 Challenge Cup win against Manchester.
Niklas Nevalainen also returns to the line up after missing three games with illness.
Period 1.
Whilst Matt Greenfield made the first save of the night, a regulation glove save, it was the Steelers who dominated the period from then on.
Scott Allen went close on a wrap around, Mark Simpson forced a good save from Kevin Carr and Daniel Ciampini also went close before the opening goal from Cole Shudra after just 2.42
The goal was originally waved off but then given after review with Mark Simpson assisting.
Steelers continued with the pressure and eventually doubled their advantage when Patrick Wilding scored unassisted.
Stars had a great chance when Dow forced a pad save from Matt Greenfield
Steelers forced the Stars and turned the puck over with Watling and Juusola assisting on Brett Neumanns goal.
Period 2.
Steelers started where they ended in the first period
Colton Saucerman adding a 4th goal after just 1.55 of the middle period.
Saucerman’s shot deflected over the shoulder of Carr in the Stars goal after a great passing interchange involving Vallerand and Dowd.
Valentini led the charge for the Stars and forced a great save from Matt Greenfield shortly after.
Josh Nicholls hit the post after a pass from Daniel Ciampini
The period ended with Mikko Juusola going close and a little pushing and shoving session to follow.

Period 3.
Stars had the perfect opportunity to get back in the game when Matt Greenfield released his stick in a play around his net, granting Dundee a penalty shot that Spencer Naas scored at 40.58
Mitchell Balmass then hit back just 17 seconds later, assisted Dowd and Saucerman to make it 5-1
With 10 minutes remaining the game still looked comfortable for Aaron Fox’s side but then the Stars had a lift scoring two goals in 27 seconds
First Tommy Parrottinio at 50.53 and then Ryan Valentini at 51.20 made it a two goal game (3-5)
At 55.30 Steelers had some breathing space with mark Simpson set up Cole Shudra for his second and a 3-6 lead
Brendan Harms scored a late on with 1.55 remaining to make things a little exciting, Dundee pulled the goalie but the Steelers stood tall and secured the points
Final score: Dundee Stars 4-6 Sheffield Steelers.
