Steelers 3 Year Deal with the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria

Steelers confirmed a three year sponsorship deal with the Holiday Inn – ensuring their pre season exhibition games against top European opposition can take place.

The Holiday Royal Victoria has been a long term partner of the Steelers and is the venue where the club annually launch their season, shirt launch and fans meet the players.

Later this summer the Steelers will host German DEL side Nurnberg Ice Tigers and top Swedish team Sodertalje in exhibition games at ice Sheffield. Both clubs will be accommodated at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria as part of their continued partnership with the club.

“Hermann, Helen and Mark have been terrific partners with the Steelers for many years now” said commercial manager Mike O’Connor “To have them working alongside us for the next three years is very important to us.

“When we are attracting top class organisations like Nurnberg and Sodertalje ensuring they are looked after in the finest style is very important. Over the years all visiting clubs to Sheffield have been thrilled with the service and accommodation at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria.

“Working alongside our sponsors ensures that our fans get to see the best pre season exhibition games on show anywhere in the Country. We couldn’t have done that without the support of Hermann and his team at Holiday Inn Royal Victoria”

Head coach Paul Thompson was at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria this morning meeting owners Hermann and Helen Beck  and said “As a coach I want the best for my team and that meant a proper pre season against top class opposition. That just doesn’t happen. Lots of things have to fall into place. The help and assistance that Hermann, Helen and Mark gave us ensured we were able to deliver these two great series of games and for that I am extremely grateful”

The Holiday Inn Royal Victoria have been partners with the Steelers for seven seasons, the new year will see a decade of the two organisations working together.
