The Sheffield Steelers are delighted to confirm that they will be one of the first teams to visit the Manchester Storm after agreeing to an exhibition game on Wednesday 2nd September.
Manchester will play three home exhibition games against EIHL opposition before they commence their first season back in professional hockey since 2003.
“With the Storm being back in the EIHL we are thrilled to be visiting them in this pre season fixture” said club owner Tony Smith “We already have a busy pre season with exhibition games against Braehead before the start of the Champions Hockey League games.
“I would like to thank both Paul and Darrell (head coach Paul Thompson and assistant Darrell Hay) for assisting in changing their pre season schedule to accommodate Manchester
“As a league we need Manchester to be as competitive as possible and it was vital all clubs helped them arrange competitive pre season games at short notice. In Sheffield we were only to happy to oblige”
