Role Title: Ticket Sales & Promotions Executive


Overall Purpose of role:


  • To actively promote and deliver new supporters to games weekly


Professional qualifications or essential experience required: Essential – Full knowledge of Excel and Word. Desirable – Knowledge of Access, photoshop and Desktop Publisher

Reports to: General Manager


Responsibility for staff: Nil


Core activities

Ticket Promotions

 Weekly – Identify new companies and areas for promotion

Meet with GM weekly to update on promotions

Work from a monthly targeted sheet set by GM

Identify new groups to promote to

Work to set up all schools visits for ‘hook’ for promotion

Actively sell group bookings and packages we have available

Pro-Actively add new packages and ideas and make them happen.

Group Bookings to include

As part of the role you will be managing the sales of all weekly Group Bookings – Group numbers will be targeted depending on game

You will be required to manage all the admin of this part of the role to include


  • Collect and record all payments
  • Post out all card receipts
  • Post tickets out to groups
  • Maintain Group Bookings grid for the season
  • Record all bookings and file / record details in database


Group Bookings will be 100% your responsibility. You will be required to manage all group bookings from phone enquiry to seating them at the arena.

You are responsible for communicating each individual Groups requirements to the Matchnight crew

You must also communicate all group booking details to relevant person for matchnight scripts and in addition communicate all group details with Matchnight presenting team

Management of the Promotional Database

The Steelers Office Database will become your responsibility. From the start of the role you will be required to re-organise, structure, maintain and own ALL databases. This is considered one of the most important parts of the role and is key to your role.

You will be responsible for building and adding to the database weekly.

Once weekly you will be required to input all new data gathered in preparation for weekly sales calls

Once weekly it will be your responsibility to follow up all group bookings post game with calls / emails and RECORD for future calls/emails

Ticket Responsibilites

Weekly management of comp and guest ticket allocation

 Matchnight Support and Set-Up

Prepare & pack for matchnight as per checklist

List and manage all guest tickets

Prepare float


Observation and Monitoring

Provide honest and constructive feedback in response to regular progress meetings

Document your workload and communicate your activities with everyone
