Steelers Plan Opening Night Memorial

Steelers Plan Opening Night Memorial

The Steelers have historically held an end of season memorial in which fans can join together in remembering the lives that the Steelers family have lost.

With the abrupt end to the 2019-20 season this event wasn’t able to be held on our final home game.

Since then the club has lost not only supporters but also members of our club, on and off the ice members such as Jack Shaw and Marek Troncinsky.

Rather than wait until the final home game of the 2021-22 season the Steelers will be remembering our lost family members on the opening night of the new season. Sunday 19th September at our first home game against Nottingham Panthers.

We are asking that should you wish your recently lost family members to be included in the club memorial that you advise us as soon as possible.

We require the following information.

1: Photo (minimum 800 pixels wide)
2: The FULL name of the person who has passed away

By submitting the information above you will be agreeing for these photos and details to be included in the club’s memorial that will be shown on the big screen inside the arena and in a video we will publish on our website and social media channels after the game on the 19th September.

Please enter the title “Steelers memorial 2021” in the title of your e-mail

Please send relevant details to shaun.smith@sheffieldsteelers.co.uk
